Sebelumnya saya ingin menanyakan pendapat rekan-rekan sebagai pemerhati pendidikan berbasis IT, apakah mengadakan seminar proposal/hasil ataupun ujian komprehensif melalui Vicon (Video Conference) adalah sesuatu yang biasa di kampus lain? Karena ini adalah sebuah terobosan baru bagi kami dalam bidang pemanfaatan teknologi untuk mendukung kegiatan akademik para mahasiswa yang sedang menjalankan tahap bimbingan skripsi atau tugas akhir (TA) ketika dosennya berada diluar kampus karena sedang melanjutkan pendidikan.
Kemarin telah di adakan ujian komprehensif perdana melalui Video Conference dengan salah satu Dosen Pembimbing-nya berada di luar kampus. Seorang mahasiswa Teknik Elektro, bernama Wawan Sofwan telah mengadakan ujian komprehensif di Lab.Teknik Digital dengan salah satu dosen pembimbingnya Bapak Mona Arif Muda yang saat ini sedang berada di Kentucky, Amerika. Barangkali kalau untuk mengadakan kuliah melalui vicon merupakan hal yang biasa bagi kami (Unila) dengan Universitas lain di Indonesia maupun Universitas di luar negeri.
Ini sedang menjadi bahan diskusi kami dalam mailing list Redaksi@groups.unila.ac.id, mohon pencerahan dari kawan-kawan.

Sangat menarik bro, cuman emang harus dibayar mahal kali yah, kecuali ada subsidi dari kampus, dan si dosennya juga nggak dibebanin biaya tinggi.
